Answer
Teams Presentation Sharing Update: Presenter View
Microsoft Teams recently released a new update that will aid in conducting presentations via PowerPoint’s “Presenter View”. Once the presenter selects a PowerPoint file from the Teams Share Tray, Presenter View is opened automatically. The presenter can see the current slide, the slide notes, and a thumbnail strip of all the slides in the deck for easy ad-hoc slide navigation.
How To Share A Presentation
- If you're a presenter:
1. Select Share.
2. Choose a presentation under the PowerPoint category.
3. With the new update, the presentation will know automatically be viewed through the Presenter View.
Note: Presenter View only works in meetings that open in a separate window – you'll need to enable the “new meeting experience” in Teams desktop app setting. To enable “new meeting experience” click here.
- If you're a meeting participant:
- Select Navigate forward to move forward in a presentation without interrupting the presenter. Note: The presenter must share the file from the PowerPoint category in order for participants to skip around during a presentation.
- Select To presenter to sync your view back to the presenter's when you want.
