How do I obtain access to Boards & Beyond?

Answer

Access to Boards & Beyond

Both faculty and students must set up accounts on this IP-Authenticated Subscription by visiting the following link on campus.

  1. While on campus, please use the following link to set up your account: Welcome to Boards and Beyond (boardsbeyond.com)
  2. Enter the one-time access code: PL1MZCpT6ZH1ejQV
  3. After setting up your account, use the Institutional login page rather than the Individual login page to access the resources.

Notes:
After creating your account, you can bookmark the direct link and use it to access the platform.

However, you must sign in every 180 days using this link: https://go.openathens.net/redirector/calmedu.org?url=https://boardsbeyond.com/institution/California_University_of_Science_and_Medicine_HAUZR4ZP14. This link re-establishes your affiliation with CUSM.

 Remote access

After setting up your account on campus, you can access Boards and Beyond remotely by visiting the Info Commons website, selecting Boards and Beyond from the A to Z databases, and logging in using your institutional account.

When on campus, please use the same Boards and Beyond link to set up your account and your institutional login credentials.

Faculty Tools

Faculty members interested in a Faculty Tools account for themselves and TAs, please email infocommons@cusm.edu to request access with the name, department, role, and email address of each person you want to add. As a Faculty Tools Group Admin, you will be able to invite your students into a private educational group where you can assign specific video playlists and custom quizzes. This is great for both class and tutoring work.

Students: If one or more of your professors make use of Faculty Tools for your class, they will set up a Group and provide you with directions on how to join. Just so you know, tasks assigned within the group are tracked separately from your account dashboard, so we recommend completing all assigned work using the links from the Group dashboard.

If you need more help, contact Info Commons via email: infocommons@cusm.edu.
